Zusammenfassung: | In this paper, we present the implementation of a Lattice Boltzmann free surface algorithm for the simulation of water entry problems. We focus on the symmetric impact of a rigid V-shaped wedge and we analyze the pressure and velocity fields in the fluid for increasing Reynolds number. Numerical predictions are analyzed and discussed through a qualitative comparison with data available in literature to demonstrate the accuracy of the proposed approach. |
