Zusammenfassung:The Zn-Mg ferrite sample of general formula Zn0.5Mg0.5Fe2O4 have been prepared by standard solid state reaction technique using high purity oxides. X-ray diffraction analysis shows the formation of a zinc-magnesium ferrite cubic phase at room temperature with space group Fd3m. FTIR spectra show two significant absorption bands first at 665.15 cm−1 corresponding to tetrahedral (A) and second band at 434 cm−1 corresponding to octahedral (B) sites of the spinel. Morphology of the sample determined by the SEM measurement and EDS analysis has confirmed the composition of atoms in the sample.
