Rheological comparison of Katira gum and Semal gum

Rheological properties of Katira gum and Semal gum with water-bentonite slurry has been studied. Samples have been prepared by varying concentration of gums. Variation between shear rate and viscosity at various solid concentrations has been plotted. Three rheological models have been used for rheological characterization of the observed data and rheological parameters have been determined. The value of k, n and R2are calculated to support the choice of model selection. Samples show shear thinning behaviour.
