Zusammenfassung: | Nanoparticles of yttrium substituted lanthanum phosphate having formulae Y0.5La0.95PO4 were successfully prepared through co-precipitation method. The phase, purity and crystallinity of 5% yttrium substituted lanthanum phosphate (Y: LaP 5%) powder was characterized by X-ray diffraction technique which suggests the sample belonging to monoclinic monazite crystal system. The spherical morphology with partial agglomeration having grain size in the nano scale range was observed with transmission electron microscopy. FTIR analysis depicts the presence of water molecule along with the phosphate group. The electrical properties of the grown composition show dependence of dielectric constant and dielectric loss on frequency and temperature. The continuous decrease in dielectric constant with increase in frequency suggests that the conduction mechanism is due to hopping of the charge carriers from one site to another. |
