Zusammenfassung:It is shown that at certain conditions, a two-wave regime of excitation of a gyrotron can be realized. A complicated transient process of excitation in this regime is characterized by sequential excitation of two modes with slightly different frequencies. This two-mode regime can be used for the formation of a short pulse of the output rf radiation with a peak power exceeding the power of the operating electron beam.
