Zusammenfassung:Synthesis of pyrazoline substituted with nitro groups as antibacterial agent has been carried out by cycloaddition reaction. The compound was synthesized from chalcone and phenylhyrazine by refluxing them in 2-butanol for 24 h. The product was purified and characterized using FTIR and 1H-NMR spectrometers. The result showed that pyrazoline has been succesfully synthesized in 33.06% yield. The compund has antibacterial activity againts Bacillus subtilis and Shigella flexneri. However, it has tendency of activity for Gram-negative bacteria. In conclusion, the nitro groups that substituted in aromatic ring were predicted as a part of pharmacophore.
