Zusammenfassung: | Doughnut shaped laser pulses described by lasers with higher order Laguerre-Gaussian modes can excite doughnut shaped plasma waves that are suitable for positron acceleration in strongly non-linear regimes. The onset of positron focusing and acceleration occurs when the the inner doughnut shaped wakefield electron sheath merges on axis, creating an excess negative charge that can focus positrons. In this proceedings we will show that this scheme can also operate in the plasma wakefield accelerator using ring like electron bunch drivers or two co-propagating drivers with a transverse off-set. |
