Zusammenfassung:After the installation of the portico in MP 7, the behavior of the machine exhibited some difficulties. In this paper, the main differences between MP 7 and MP 10 are analyzed, especially the effect of the different sizes and configurations of the terminal electrodes. In addition, some other differences are discussed, for example, the fact that MP 7 has additional column spark gaps with smaller openings than those used in MP 10.
