Zusammenfassung: | A specimen holder constructed of magnesium and poly‐methyl‐methacrylate for use in the transmission electron microscope (TEM) is described which can be used for energy dispersive spectrometry (EDS). The holder is designed to eliminate unwanted detectable x‐ray radiation from the body of the holder and to permit EDS analysis with only a 3 ° sample tilt toward the x‐ray detector. The specimen holder incorporates two tilt axes which allow examination of materials for both EDS and TEM analysis simultaneously. |
