Zusammenfassung:	In the present study, we report the presence of the nereidid polychaete Laeonereis acuta near to the estuarine areas of Parnaíba River, extending its distribution towards the north of the northeastern Brazilian coast. No presente estudo, nós relatamos a presença do poliqueta nereídídeo Laeonereis acuta próximo à região estuarina do rio Parnaíba, ampliando sua distribuição para o litoral norte do nordeste brasileiro.
