Pseudotumoral calcinosis of the cranial base: a case report

ABSTRACT Pseudotumoral calcinosis is a rare entity, which is usually located in joints such as hips or elbows and is extremely infrequent in the head and neck. It might be associated to metabolic diseases or renal failure but can also be hereditary or idiopathic. We report a case of pseudotumoral calcinosis in the anterior cranial base and we describe the surgical technique, assisted by intraoperative navigation and surgical 3D in-house printed guides.
