Zusammenfassung: | Integrated electronic displays are being utilized in aircraft cockpits at an increasing rate. The design of formats for these displays is a very complex problem since information from two, three or more sources may be combined onto one display surface. If the operator is to be able to use the display efficiently, the integration of this information must be carried out with a great deal of caution. The design of formats for integrated displays is a process of problem definition, development of possible solutions, implementation of the most promising solutions and evaluation. The importance of objectively evaluating candidate symbology early in the developmental process is illustrated. |
