The temnospondyl amphibian Uranocentrodon, another victim of the end-Permian extinction event : research letter

Recent studies of the Permo-Triassic boundary in the northwest of the Karoo Basin of South Africa have aided in the understanding of the stratigraphy of this sequence. This work has also permitted the correct biostratigraphic assignation of the temnospondyl amphibian Uranocentrodon, long believed to be a Lystrosaurus Assemblage Zone taxon, but which actually belongs to the underlying Dicynodon Assemblage Zone.
