Zusammenfassung:This article focuses on Deut 30:11-14 and two examples of rabbinic (bBM 59b) and Pauline (Rom 10:6-8) interpretations in the light of reader-oriented intertextuality. They show the openness of the Biblical texts to generate completely different interpretations. They point out that hermeneutical closure is an illusion. Exegesis is an interactive process. Reader-oriented intertextuality makes the lenses visible that every interpreter of the Tanakh / the Old Testament wears.
