Referring to the BEAUTIfUL study, we would like to point out why adding ivabradine in the management of stable coronary artery disease with left ventricular dysfunction is worthless. Ivabradine failed to reduce the primary composite endpoint : cardiovascular death, admission to hospital for acute myocardial infarction and admission to hospital for new-onset or worsening heart failure.
