Management of the minor wound : wound care

For the purpose of this article, a minor wound is defined as a break in the integrity of the skin and when the superficial layers of the skin are affected. The cause of a wound can vary. Examples of minor wounds include abrasions, surgical incisions, lacerations or cuts (including surgical incisions), bites and minor burns.
