Zusammenfassung:The Companies Act 71 of 2008 was assented to on 8 April 2009 and took effect on 1 May 2011. It repealed the Companies Act 61 of 1973, except for Chapter XIV (Winding-up of Companies) (see Item 9 of Schedule 5 of the 2008 Companies Act read with section 224(2). The Companies Amendment Act 3 of 2011 was signed into law on 20 April 2011 (see GN 370 in GG 34243 of 20 April 2011). The Regulations and forms under the 2008 Companies Act were published on 26 April 2011 (GN R351 in GG 34239).
