Profound hypothermia and the helix resevoir bubble oxygenator

Our experimental and clinical experience makes us believe that this technique has a very definite place in the repair of the more complicated cardiac lesions. The justification for its use in the simpler defects will come, if it does, only with more clinical and experimental experience.
