Some experiences with intracardiac surgery using the helix-reservoir bubble oxygenator with total cardio-pulmonary bypass - a review of the first 30 cases treated at the Groote Schuur and Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospitals, Cape Town

Our results agree with those of workers in other countries in shoving that many congenital cardiac anomalies and some acquired heart lesions can be corrected as a routine surgical procedure with an acceptable low mortality by a well trained team of doctors, nurses and technicians.
