Zusammenfassung:The co-production of pentyl valerate biofuel and the diesel additive di- n -pentyl ether from γ-valerolactone, pentanol and H 2 in a one-pot process is reported for the first time, in spite of the opposite acidic requirements for the catalyst, analyzing the influence of the Si/Al ratio of the SiO 2 -Al 2 O 3 support on the promotion of these acid-catalyzed reactions.
