Zusammenfassung:A redox-neutral C-H functionalisation in water employing catalytic TEMPO to synthesize aminomethyl-substituted pyrroles is reported. Starting from cheap and commercial chemical feedstocks (ketoesters and anilines), our approach delivered targeted products in good yields and represents an endeavour to address redox economy in radical transformations.
