) capture remain both a scientifically challenging and a technologically important area of work. The use of the right material and the understanding of its microstructure are critical for boosting the sorption performance. In this work, we show that the incorporation of PEI in Mo oxide
via
the introduction of a rejection potential in pulsed electrodeposition can create a hybrid film with an enhanced CO

sorption performance. By controlling the PEI incorporation and studying the interaction between PEI and Mo oxide, we suggest that the improvements seen can be attributed to the role of PEI as an active surfactant for CO
2
sorption, enabling the enhanced microstructure and the resultant CO
2
sorption performance.
This work shows that pulse electrodeposition employing a rejection pulse cycle enables the co-deposition of non-conducting polymers, thereby yielding hybrid films that demonstrate an enhanced and excellent CO
2
sorption performance. |
