Zusammenfassung:Insights into intracellular chemistry have remained sparse, but would be impactful for the advancement of biomedicine and bioproduction. A suitable 13 C NMR approach provides improvements in sensitivity that make extended reaction networks and assay time windows, previously inaccessible cell densities and relative flux measurements accessible in living cells. Mechanistic insights into the chemistry of life can be advanced by compounding physical labelling and high-sensitivity detection.
