Zusammenfassung:Grandparents are often important figures in children's lives. They may provide their grandchildren with care, love and support, while simultaneously imparting a sense of family history. They may also provide financial support to their children's families, especially in times of crisis. Indeed, Mutchler and Baker (2009) showed that children in single-mother families who lived with grandparents were less likely than other children in single-mother families to experience poverty.
