Zusammenfassung:In order to create a profile of current peer groups in Tasmania, a study was undertaken in February 1992. Year 10 students were asked to identify the various subcultural peer groups they were familiar with and to describe the characteristics assigned to group members. Groups identified included: bogans or heavies, nerds or squares, skeggs or skates, surfies, jocks or sports, hippies, yuppies, gothics, normals, tryhards, arties and tecs.
