Zusammenfassung: | Defining resilience in older adults has stimulated thescientific debate for decades. There is no consensualtheoretical or practical definition of resilience inolder adults. However, in an overall definition, resilience cangenerally be considered within a broad bio-psycho-social modelof health, with both physical (referring to independencein activities of daily living (ADL)), physical, psychologicaland social health dimensions and adaptive aspects toa stressful situation for physical and mental health, as well asthe ability to mobilize social support in the community. In thismodel, resilience would be a response to various environmentalchallenges, including physiological, psychological and socialchallenges. |
