Zusammenfassung: | 1 in 3 women worldwide have been subjected physical or sexual violence in their lifetime. India stands at a staggering 12[sup.th] in the global ranking of 170 countries, which is also attributed to underreporting. The north-eastern region was presumed comparatively a safe haven for women but some violent appalling incidences especially during the corona lockdown has raised a serious question to the claim. Handling victims of violence needs additional expertise, patience, tolerance and a lot of sensitivity. The authors hereby will share their experience in this line of work and offer valuable tips that can be adopted to prevent further alleviating the plight of the victims and aid them efficiently to tide over their anguish. |
