Zusammenfassung:For this special issue of Social Justice Research, we would like to use this space to reflect on the tension between conducting basic research and applied research in the pursuit of social justice. Or, more specifically, on how developing and working on social scientific theory can resolve this tension, affording researchers the opportunity to build a line of work that can shift between more and less applied research questions while remaining programmatic and thematic.
