Zusammenfassung:COVID-19 vaccination seems to be safe in regard to female fertility because of •Low homology of corona spike protein and placental syncytin-1.•Fertility not altered after SARS-CoV-1 and SARS-CoV-2 infections and after antibody therapy against multiple sclerosis associated retrovirus (>80 % homology with syncytin-1). This opinion paper briefly presents arguments that support the unlikelihood of an impact on female fertility from current covid-19 vaccines.
