Genomic Heterogeneity and Copy Number Variant Burden are Associated with Poor Recurrence Free Survival and 11q Loss in HPV+ Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Oropharynx

Molecular markers are needed to determine which patients with HPV+ OPSCC are best served by reduced intensity treatment, which has the potential to reduce severe treatment related morbidity. We demonstrate that 11q related CNV burden and heterogeneity are highly associated with poor recurrence free...

Zusammenfassung:Molecular markers are needed to determine which patients with HPV+ OPSCC are best served by reduced intensity treatment, which has the potential to reduce severe treatment related morbidity. We demonstrate that 11q related CNV burden and heterogeneity are highly associated with poor recurrence free survival in HPV+ OPSCC and may have potential as translational biomarkers.
