Zusammenfassung:Invited for the cover of this issue is the group of Bart Jan Ravoo at Westfälische Wilhelms‐Universität Münster. The image depicts the “universal” post‐modification of silica particles coated with a polythiolactone polymer shell. Read the full text of the article at 10.1002/chem.202100547. “The key innovation of the paper is that we use a modular approach to functionalize colloidal silica. Rather than optimizing a different protocol for each application, we used versatile precursor particles coated with a reactive polythiolactone polymer shell that can be used for tailor‐made functionalization for a broad range of applications, such as catalysis and controlled release.” Read more about the story behind the cover in the Cover Profile and about the research itself on page 7668 ff.
