This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows: To assess the effectiveness of delivery by primary workers of interventions for promotion of mental health and for prevention of mental disorders or symptoms of mental illness in LMICs To examine the impact of intervention delivery by primary workers on resource use and costs associated with provision of mental health care in LMICs
