Zusammenfassung:Bloomfield offers information about placenta accreta spectrum which is described as abnormally adherent or invasive placentas. The most common risk factor of placenta accreta spectrum is multiple previous cesarean deliveries. Placenta previa substantially increases the risk of placenta accreta spectrum and women with placenta previa and a history of cesarean delivery should have targeted ultrasounds in centers of excellence. Specialized teams are needed to effectively treat placenta accreta spectrum.
