Effect of Positive End-Expiratory Pressure and Proning on Ventilation and Perfusion in COVID-19 Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome

Assessment of lung ventilation and perfusion of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) with acute respiratory distress syndrome (C-ARDS) is still scarce, especially in response to positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) and prone positioning. Zusammenfassung:Assessment of lung ventilation and perfusion of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) with acute respiratory distress syndrome (C-ARDS) is still scarce, especially in response to positive end-expiratory pressure (PEEP) and prone positioning. The objective of this study was to describe the physiological effects of PEEP and prone position on respiratory mechanics, ventilation, and pulmonary perfusion in patients with C-ARDS.
