Detection of Marburg Virus Disease in Guinea

In this report, investigators diagnosed Marburg virus as a cause of a fatal infection associated with a hemorrhagic illness in a 46-year-old farmer in Guinea, West Africa. The investigation suggested local acquisition of the infection.
