Human Helicase DDX: Structural Basis of Human Helicase DDX21 in RNA Binding, Unwinding, and Antiviral Signal Activation (Adv. Sci. 14/2020)

In article number 2000532, Jixi Li and co‐workers report a set of four crystal structures of human RNA helicase DDX21, revealing dramatic conformational rearrangements during the RNA unwinding cycle. Furthermore, the discovery of small RNAs modulating the interaction between DDX21 and viral protein...

Zusammenfassung:In article number 2000532, Jixi Li and co‐workers report a set of four crystal structures of human RNA helicase DDX21, revealing dramatic conformational rearrangements during the RNA unwinding cycle. Furthermore, the discovery of small RNAs modulating the interaction between DDX21 and viral protein NS1, generates a fresh perspective toward the virus–host interface, and will be beneficial in developing therapeutics to combat the influenza virus infection.
