Zusammenfassung: | In 2000, after four years of teaching at the University of California-Berkeley School of Public Health, I was named the first Scientific Director for the CIHR Institute of Population and Public Health, which also had a mandate to translate research into policy and practice. In the past, one of the issues was that many public health professionals in Canada worked in municipal or regional government where their colleagues in transportation, police, fire, ambulance, property tax collection, etc. also did not have the right to attend continuing professional education. |
