Zusammenfassung:Treatment involving the insertion of an implantable cardioverter defibrillator and cardiac resynchronization therapy devices has markedly improved the prognosis of cardiac sarcoidosis. However, the prognosis remains poor in patients with advanced cardiac dysfunction or heart failure. We herein report the clinical course and histopathological findings of the autopsied heart of a patient with cardiac sarcoidosis with long-term refractory heart failure.
