Changes in out-of-pocket payments on utilisation of health care services

This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (Intervention). The objectives are as follows: The five main objectives of this review are: To assess whether utilisation of a health service increases, decreases, or stays the same when out‐of‐pocket payments for a health service are removed To assess whether utilisation of a health service increases, decreases, or stays the same when out‐of‐pocket payments for a health service are introduced; To assess whether utilisation of a health service increases, decreases, or stays the same when out‐of‐pocket payments for a health service change; To assess whether health status of patients using a health service increases, decreases, or stays the same when out‐of‐pocket payments for a health service change; To assess whether patient satisfaction with a health service increases, decreases, or stays the same when out‐of‐pocket payments for a health service change.
