Single-Dose Tafenoquine to Prevent Relapse of Plasmodium vivax Malaria

Clearing of the dormant liver stage (the hypnozoite) of P. vivax malaria is important to prevent the relapse of infection. In this randomized clinical trial, a single dose of tafenoquine is shown to have significant activity against the hypnozoite form of P. vivax .
