Zusammenfassung:The significance of interferon-y as a potential link between diabetes mellitus and dementia is examined. Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease and has two types that are characterized by their etiology. The main complication among diabetics is vascular damage. An overview of a study which uses mouse model to investigate the link between the immune system activation and impaired microglial response is also offered.
