Zusammenfassung:A sampling of recent efforts to increase access to empirically supported psychotherapies and related interventions is reviewed. Recommendations to aid clinicians in decision making are included. This article reviews a sampling of recent efforts to increase access to empirically supported psychotherapies and related interventions. The use of technology to advance the implementation of psychotherapy across diverse contexts is emphasized, and the authors review recent efforts to improve access to psychotherapy using self-guided Internet-based treatments, minimal-contact psychotherapies, and mental health mobile apps. Expanding the reach of traditional psychotherapy through primary care and clinical video telehealth is also discussed. Specific examples are given of recent innovations in the implementation of treatment for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). One PTSD-relevant example per broad area is reviewed in greater detail to demonstrate how diverse approaches can be used to target one problem or disorder across a variety of contexts. Recommendations to aid clinicians in decision making are included, suggesting a stepped-care approach based on patient severity, response to treatment, and available resources.
