We will investigate the benefits and possible disadvantages of inspiratory and peripheral muscle training on respiratory and peripheral muscle strength in critically ill adult patients in an ICU, and their effect on the length of mechanical ventilation and ICU stay. Furthermore, we will investigate the activity level at ICU discharge, and hospital mortality. |
