Zusammenfassung: | Klarenbach et al discuss the recommendations on screening for breast cancer in women aged 40-74 years who are not at increased risk for breast cancer. This guideline updates the task force's previous recommendations for primary care providers on breast cancer screening for women aged 40 to 74 years who are not at increased risk of breast cancer. Those considered to be at increased risk include women with a personal or family history of breast cancer; women who are carriers of gene mutations such as BRCA1 or BRCA2, or who have a first-degree relative with these gene mutations; and women who had chest radiation therapy before age 30 years or within the past 8 years. |
