Valproate-induced drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS)

Sir, Drug Reaction with Eosinophilia and Systemic Symptoms (DRESS) syndrome is a rare and life-threatening hypersensitivity reaction to drugs with a mortality rate of 10%–20%. Peripheral blood smear (PBS) and fine-needle aspiration cytology of lymph nodes revealed activated lymphocytes.
