Zusammenfassung:The Mid-South Transdisciplinary Collaborative Center (TCC) for Health Disparities Research (U54MD008176) was funded in 2012 by the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities to conduct research on the social determinants that produce disparate health outcomes in vulnerable populations. The goal of this work is to identify pathways and mechanisms through which social, economic, cultural, and environmental factors drive and sustain health disparities in obesity and related chronic diseases across the lifespan.
