Decreased Length of Stay and Earlier Oral Feeding Associated with Standardized Post-Operative Clinical Care for Total Gastrectomies at a Cancer Center

Standardizing post-operative care following total gastrectomy was associated with shortened length of stay without diet intolerance, complications, or readmissions. This report reinforces that early oral feeding is safe following total gastrectomy.
