Zusammenfassung:Forty-five patients taking bismuth subnitrate orally for therapeutic reasons were admitted to hospital with a myoclonic encephalopathy of acute onset. The clinical features were similar, mostly with mental confusion, disorder of walking and standing, dysarthria, and myoclonic jerks.
