Co-administration of subtherapeutic diazepam enhances neuroprotective effect of COX-2 inhibitor, NS-398, after lithium pilocarpine-induced status epilepticus

Highlights • NS-398 is neuroprotective in the hippocampus after pilocarpine-induced status epilepticus. • Co-administration with diazepam enhances neuroprotective effect of NS-398. • NS-398 and diazepam did not affect duration or severity of status epilepticus.
