Zusammenfassung:We measured cytokine secretion patterns in peripheral blood and granulation tissue by flow cytometry in 16 human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) positive and 26 HIV negative patients with spinal tuberculosis. Anti-retroviral therapy was not prescribed. There were no significant differences in the postoperative morbidity and neurological recovery between the two groups.
